Photo studio management software for studio rooms that each have their own look
A photo studio sells hours in its studio rooms rather than a specialist's time: a catalog shoot takes the white cyclorama in the morning, a wedding photographer works in the loft after lunch, and the same space hosts a video interview in the evening. Photo studio management software has to keep these bookings in one schedule and show how busy each studio room is, so one space is never promised to two crews.
A photographer picks the room by its description
Each studio room is a separate resource with its own working hours and the shoots it can host. The short description of a resource appears in the preview during online booking and the full one at the confirmation stage, so a photographer can check the backdrop, the daylight and the dressing room before finishing the booking. A studio with many rooms at different prices can create its own resource types, which segment prices by type and group similar rooms in the schedule. A dressing room rented only together with a studio room can stay a resource for internal tracking, hidden from online booking.
Changing the set between two shoots
The previous crew has left, but the new backdrop is not up and the props are out of place. Cleaning and setup time belongs inside the service duration from day one; the guide to setting up client booking explains why a schedule without these pauses only looks full. Extra lighting or a different backdrop is added as a separate service in the same booking, so the price of a shoot adds up without a calculator.
An agency takes a studio room for half a day
An ad agency books a studio room with extra equipment for a whole shift. Bookings like that suit a discount whose calculation type is based on the current booking total: once the services in the booking pass the threshold, the system lowers the bill on its own, and one discount can have several tiers. A photographer who shoots weekly can be sold a visit-based membership whose template covers only the budget rooms, so it never pays for the most expensive space.
A booking that came in overnight
A photographer may book a studio room after the studio has closed. A notification rule with the "Branch" recipient and a source filter messages the branch contacts only about bookings from the online form, not about those entered by hand, so the front desk knows in the morning which rooms to prepare. The crew itself benefits from a reminder at a fixed time the day before: a crew that shows up late either shoots less than it booked or holds up the next photographer.
Studio rooms that sit idle on weekdays
Room by room, the resource statistics report idle time, occupancy and profit, so repainting the loft or cutting its weekday price is a decision based on numbers. The financial position report shows how the balance of each cash register changed during the day, so the cash from an evening shoot does not vanish into the day's total.
When a studio opens a second address, studio rooms under one roof stay resources, while the new location becomes a branch with its own schedule, prices and notifications and a shared client base, as the walkthrough for a studio's second location describes. If you shoot yourself and sell photo sessions rather than room time, see the overview for a freelance photographer; neighboring leisure formats are on the events and leisure page.
