Videographer business software for short meetings and long shoot days
A videographer sells a whole event rather than an hour of work: a wedding, a conference, a product launch or a music video. Each of these needs a script and a timeline agreed in advance, and the shoot day itself often runs from morning until late at night. Editing days fall in between, so the videographer's working hours in the schedule are best opened only on the days they are actually ready to go out and shoot. Videographer business software has to keep these two formats apart in the schedule, so a short talk with a new couple never eats into an evening already promised to another client.
The script talk before the shoot day
A script meeting works best as its own service with its own duration, and the client books it whenever it suits them, even late in the evening. It can get a separate notification rule filtered to that service only: as soon as the booking is created, the client receives a confirmation with the meeting time by Telegram, email or SMS, and couples do not confuse it with the messages about the shoot itself. A few hours before the start, a reminder counted from the booking's start time goes out as well, so the meeting does not fall through because someone forgot the date.
A wedding that takes the whole day
A full wedding day is set up as a service with a long duration, and the booking form stops offering that day to anyone else. Drone footage or a short teaser for social media goes into the same booking as separate services, and their time is added to the total. Half a day and a full day work best as two separate services, each with its own length and price: a couple that only needs the getting-ready and the ceremony sees the shorter option right in the form, and the videographer does not hold a whole day for them. And when friends give a couple a love story shoot as a present, it is paid for with a gift certificate, which is tracked by the same module as memberships.
A second camera operator at a big event
At a conference with several halls, one videographer cannot cover everything, so two go out. Each operator is a separate resource with their own working hours, so you can see who is free on the Saturday in question before promising the client a crew. In the staff mobile app, each of them sees their shoots for the day and the week and notices a schedule change right away, without a phone call.
An agency that books several events a season
Event agencies and companies that hold conferences regularly often want to agree on filming in advance rather than one event at a time. A membership for an amount of time fits them: the agency buys operator hours up front, each shoot takes its own duration out of it, and both sides can see how many hours are left before it expires. Setting up such a membership from a template is covered in the help article on memberships and their templates.
If you shoot more photos than video, the overview for photographers who work on location is a closer fit, and the full list of home-related services sits on the household services category page.
