Yoga studio software built around a timetable of classes
A yoga studio does not sell a specialist's free hour, it sells a spot on a mat in a specific class: an early vinyasa flow, a lunchtime hatha session, an evening yoga nidra. That is why yoga studio software has to start from the class timetable, where every class already has a teacher, a room and a cap on participants.
The morning flow that runs out of mats
Set the participant cap for a class to exactly the number of mats the room holds, and no extra person ends up in the room without one. Anyone who is too late to get in joins the waiting list. The studio decides whether clients see how many spots are left, and even the names of those already signed up, which suits small groups where everyone knows each other. The word "Event" in the system can be swapped for whatever your studio calls its sessions, and a single class can get its own title, which shows right on its tile in the schedule.
A regular wants to bring a friend
When a class is set to accept several spots in one booking, the client picks how many mats they need. Both the charge and what comes off their membership then scale with those mats, so the administrator does not have to add the guest by hand or take a separate payment.
A newcomer buys a membership but will not come until next week
So paid classes do not run out before the first visit, a membership's validity can begin on the date of the first appointment rather than the day of purchase. For people who pay month by month there is a calendar month option, and the last date shown on a membership is the last day the holder can still come to practice. A membership for group classes can be limited to those services, so it does not cover private sessions with a teacher.
A beginner course that runs for several weeks
An intro course is easiest to build as a series of events that follows the studio's timetable. The guide to running group courses explains how an event differs from a regular appointment. After each session the teacher notes on the client card in the staff mobile app what the student is working on and which poses they asked to avoid, so by the end of the course it is clear who is ready for an open class.
Three memberships a yoga studio usually needs
A yoga studio usually gets by with three options: a trial pack of a few practices, a main monthly membership and a large one with the lowest price per class. A membership is issued to the client at the front desk from the right template, and when they later book a class through the form on their own, their active membership is applied to the appointment automatically. Building a lineup that does not lead to disputes over used classes is the subject of the guide to class packs and memberships. Drop-in visits go through the register under their own income category, so the cash history shows how many people still come without a pack.
Next to dance studios and aerobics, yoga belongs among the sports and fitness businesses Wlaunch works with.
