Car wash management software that keeps drivers out of the waiting line
A car wash runs on short visits: a car rolls into a bay, comes out clean a while later, and the driver waits nearby or heads off to run errands in the meantime. Car wash management software has to stay in touch with that driver during the wash, filter out people who grab the popular hours and never show up, and remember how many times a regular has already been through.
The car is ready and the driver is at the coffee shop across the street
While the body dries, the owner rarely stands next to the bay. Appointment notifications react to things that happen to an appointment, so a separate rule can be tied to the one status your wash uses for finished work. In the filter you pick only that status, and in the advanced settings you choose to send on each change, checking the status field. Placeholder codes drop the service name and the branch phone number into the text, so the driver knows whom to call if they are running late.
One detail is easy to miss. The toggle that stops messages about an appointment once its start time has passed is on by default, and a car becomes ready precisely after the visit has started. Switch it off for this rule, or the driver never hears a thing. How filters, channels and codes fit together is covered in the help page with notification rule examples.
A Saturday morning taken by people who will not come
The most convenient hours go first, and they are the most frustrating ones to lose to a booking nobody intends to use. Blocking rules check the appointments clients make on their own. One warns you when the same person books again within a chosen period, another limits repeat bookings of the same service, such as a full-service wash someone keeps putting in for several Saturdays ahead.
A front desk worker who knows the driver can still book them by hand after a warning. Client categories make it easy to tell a reliable regular from a driver whose bookings deserve a second look.
A taxi driver who comes in every week
For regulars, a cyclic discount on every Nth visit works well. To keep, say, interior shampoos out of the count, you narrow the promotion's statistics to the services that matter by turning off the option to count all company appointments. In the appointment details, the Available promotions panel shows the client's current progress, so the front desk can tell a taxi driver right away how many washes are left until the discount.
A shift's revenue: cash, card terminal and reports
In a single shift a wash takes both cash and cards, and by evening that money is easy to mix up. The cash flow report shows which registers took the payments and which income categories are the largest, while financial results let you compare how individual employees are doing. The cash history keeps every transaction in order, so a gap at the end of the day is tracked down in the timeline rather than from memory.
Plenty of washes also change tires in season, and that format has its own page for tire shops. The other lines of work, from tow trucks to technical inspection, are collected in the overview of software for automotive businesses.
