Medical center management software for a multi-specialty practice
In a medical center, a family doctor, a gynecologist, a cardiologist and several other physicians see patients under one roof, each with their own hours, services and fees. Medical center management software pulls all of those exam rooms into one schedule for the front desk and keeps patients from holding time they do not actually need. The medical center belongs to the wider healthcare section alongside dentistry, diagnostics and labs, and a multi-specialty practice brings its own daily friction.
The same consultation with doctors of different seniority
A visit with a senior physician often costs more than the same visit with a junior colleague, even though the price list names one consultation. Larger companies can create custom resource types: doctors are grouped in the schedule by specialty, and the service price is segmented by resource type. The patient picks a doctor, and the right price lands in the appointment with no manual edits. When the center has several locations, each branch can carry its own prices for the same services while the patient base stays shared. How to set a doctor's type, visibility and working hours is covered in the help article on resources and resource types.
A patient books the same hour with two doctors
Someone who has not yet decided whom to see sometimes grabs the same slot with an internist and a neurologist, planning to choose later. One visit ends up wasted, and another patient could not book it. The rule that blocks simultaneous bookings with different staff members stops this in the booking form, and the restriction on the same service keeps the same consultation from being booked twice. The front desk sees a warning and, in a special case, can still enter the visit by hand.
The doctor records the visit between patients
Between appointments a doctor has no time to walk to the front desk or hunt for a free computer. In the free staff app for Android and iOS, the doctor sees the day's appointments, opens the client card and records the outcome of the service while the next patient is still in the hallway. A note that used to be copied from a notepad at the end of the shift is now in the card, where a colleague sees it during their own visit. The choice between personal and company phones is discussed in the guide to the app for your team.
The register does not match the day's visits
Some patients pay cash at the front desk, some pay by card, and a full checkup is sometimes paid in advance. The register shows the payment date while profit is counted on the date the service is provided, so a prepaid checkup creates a gap that is not an error. The financial results report shows how much each doctor brought in. A manual discount, which the front desk applies only when the patient asks, is standardized and calculated by the system rather than estimated. Small purchases paid out of the register go through a cash document with its own category too, and then medical center management software spares the front desk an evening recount in a notebook.
