Cosmetology clinic software that accounts for every product used
A cosmetology clinic sells more than a specialist's time: it also opens products for each treatment, and those products cost real money. That is why cosmetology clinic software has to tie the schedule to stock and to the cash register, so you can see how much product a day of treatments used, what clients took home and where the revenue came from. Neighboring formats, from beauty salons to laser hair removal studios, are collected in the overview of beauty businesses.
A chemical peel and what is left in the bottle
Each treatment gets a techmap with the usual amount of every product, for example the acid solution, the neutralizer and the mask. The techmap is linked to the service, so a new peel appointment already lists its materials. If a particular client's skin needed more, the cosmetologist corrects the quantity inside that appointment before it is paid. Stock goes down only when the appointment is saved as paid, so a canceled visit leaves the balance untouched. The same product can sit in several techmaps with different amounts, such as a serum used both in a facial and in a care treatment.
A balance control rule highlights a product that is running low, and a stock count a month in shows where the techmap amount drifts from what was really used. The guide to tracking treatment products walks through the whole chain, from the product list to the real cost of a treatment.
A home care cream after a facial
After a facial, a client often buys the product the cosmetologist recommended for home use. That sale goes on the Orders tab of the same appointment. An order can also be created without an appointment when someone drops in just for the cream. If cash documents carry separate income categories for services and for product sales, the cash flow report reveals what share of the clinic's revenue comes from home care.
Open slots for a new cosmetologist
A new specialist usually starts with a lighter schedule than colleagues who already have regulars. A promotion can be limited to a single resource, so the discount applies only to that person's treatments, and loyalty visits can be counted only when they were with that same employee. If you would rather not make the offer public, set it so it is not applied automatically, and the administrator enters the promo code during a call or when a client asks. Every condition and limit is covered in the article on setting up promotions and discounts.
A skin care program paid up front
Some clients want to pay for a season of facials at once without committing to a number of visits. A membership for an amount of money fits that case: the template lists the treatments it covers and how long it stays valid, and every visit deducts credits for that treatment from the membership balance. A balance change notification fires once the remainder drops below a threshold you set, so the client hears about it before the last visit rather than at the front desk. Purchases, freezes and unfreezes can trigger their own messages too.
