Towing company software for calls that come in from the roadside
A towing service does not work with a waiting room full of people. Its clients are standing on the shoulder next to a car that will not start. Towing company software has to take that call at any hour, pass it to a driver right away and keep fake orders from sending a truck out for nothing.
A request at three in the morning with no dispatcher on the line
The online booking form accepts orders even when nobody is in the office. So the driver knows where to go, the form gets custom fields of its own: where the car is, its make and what exactly happened. Such fields are added under the company settings, and any of them can be made mandatory, so a client simply cannot send a request without a location. Towing a passenger car, hauling a motorcycle and a jump start on the spot work best as separate services. Each one is assigned only to the trucks that actually handle it, so a heavy wrecker never shows up as an option where a light flatbed will do.
The driver hears about the call before a dispatcher could phone back
A notification rule fires the moment a booking is created, and its recipients can include not only the client but also the resource itself, meaning the truck and its driver, as well as the branch. A source filter keeps the rule to online requests only. The booking's additional fields can be dropped into the message as placeholders, so the location from the form reaches the driver ready to use, with nobody retelling it. With the channel order set to Telegram, email, SMS, a paid text message goes out only when the other two are unavailable.
The same person three times in one evening
Fake calls cost a towing business fuel and the hours in which the truck could have handled a real job. Restriction rules warn the team when a client books again within a chosen period, and booking conditions can be set separately for each source. A warning pops up for the administrator, who may still take the job when the breakdown is genuine. A client who keeps sending fake requests goes on the blacklist for a set period and is unblocked automatically once it ends.
Straps running out in the middle of the season
Tie-down straps, slings and the small gear that wears out on every call are worth tracking in the company warehouse. Rules in the balance control section flag items that are running low before a driver finds out on the highway. A new batch of straps is entered as a receipt document with its purchase cost, so the price the gear was bought at stays on record next to the stock level.
Driver cash and card payments in one cash register
Some clients pay the driver in cash and others by transfer, and both flows go through separate accounts of the same cash register. Spending on fuel or truck repairs is filed under its own categories, so the cash flow report shows what is eating into revenue.
How to reconcile the cash with the card terminal at the end of the day is covered in the end-of-day reconciliation guide. The repair shops a tow truck most often delivers cars to have their own page on software for auto repair shops, and the other lines of work are gathered in the hub for car-related businesses.
