Types and scope of application
Service
A service is a specific activity that a company provides to its clients. It can include consulting, repairs, equipment maintenance, and more. A service can be assigned to a specific resource or branch if the company has multiple locations. For example, in a beauty salon, services might include haircuts, coloring, manicures, pedicures, and massages. A client can book any of these services at a specific branch or with a designated resource, if available.
Service types
Each type has its own purpose, so it is important to choose the one that best suits your needs.
- Individual appointment
- Events and group booking
- Rental
Individual appointment
This is the most common service type. It is used when one resource serves one client under standard conditions. Duration and price are set in the settings, but they can be customized individually for each case. Each resource has its own list of services, allowing you to conveniently segment them within the structure.
Events and group booking
This service type is used when the event schedule is clearly defined, for example, every day at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This format also allows multiple clients to book the same time slot. These can be seasonal events or regular services, for example, in the sports industry.
Rental
If you rent out resources, this type is the best fit. It allows you to set individual parameters, such as minimum and maximum rental duration. Payment is calculated according to the selected period - for example, if a room is rented by the hour, the cost will depend on the number of booked hours.
Techmap
A service can be linked to technological processes in the form of techmaps, which allows automatic write-off of consumable materials included in the service cost. This is convenient if you want to monitor and plan your product expenses.
