Key terms in the Wlaunch system

Resource

An element whose availability needs to be tracked. This can be an employee, a room, equipment, inventory, and so on. Depending on the company's specifics, a resource can have different names - for example: "specialist," "employee," "room," "chair," etc.

Branch

A separate unit of the company, which can be physical (with premises) or virtual (operating online). Branches help structure the company's activities, configure mailings and notifications, and manage resource schedules within each branch.

Service

A specific action or service that the company provides to clients. Services can be associated with resources or branches. For example: haircut, manicure, massage, consultation, repair, etc.

Appointment

A time reservation for a resource or service on a specific date and time. An appointment is created by a client or an administrator through the online form and contains all the order information.

Event

A defined time interval during which a resource provides a service according to a schedule. These can be one-time or recurring events, such as workshops, training sessions, or group classes.

Work schedule

The availability schedule of a branch or resource for bookings. It can be cyclical (repeating weekly) or one-time (only for specific days). It allows flexible management of employee and room schedules.

Booking form

An online module that can be placed on a website or social media. It allows clients to:

  • make bookings,
  • view and edit appointments,
  • cancel visits,
  • pay for services online.

The company can configure payment rules, cancellation policies, and other parameters.

Entity

A separate system element with unique properties. For example: resource, branch, service, appointment, client, document, etc. Each entity has its own fields, status, categories, and other characteristics.

Product

A physical product that the company sells or uses in the process of providing services. It has a price, description, SKU, photo, warehouse stock balance, and other attributes.

Balance control

Functionality that allows you to monitor the quantity of products in the warehouse, their movement, and availability. It enables purchase planning and helps avoid shortages or surpluses.

Techmap

A document that describes the process of providing a service or manufacturing a product. It can contain a list of products that are automatically written off from the warehouse when an appointment is created. It allows precise tracking of used materials.
